Rectifier – The Electric Man

Oliver Stewart survived being abducted and experiment on, and he’ll have to confront his past to stop secret project with an agenda.

Oliver Stewart just wanted to be left alone after his life fell apart. He never expected to be kidnapped by a secret lab and dumped in a mass grave, left for dead as a failed experiment. Except it didn’t fail. Now he can control electricity. When the people he feels most responsible for, some only teenagers, are abducted by the same men in their van, the clock ticks down before they end up dead—or worse. To save them he’ll have to confront his most shameful mistakes, find the lab to mount an impossible rescue, and pick sides in a vicious gang war with far-reaching implications. This gritty, must-read adventure is the second book in the After the Crash superhero series but stands alone as a complete story.

From the Author:
I love taking “what if” and seeing where I can go with it. One of those little mental exercises started with thinking about how different superhero settings explain (or don’t) where the powers come from or why they’re happening. I’ve had a number of different thoughts about different ways alien contacts could go. But what if an alien ship crashed on earth and there were alien survivors? What if we couldn’t even get inside it, but some people started being affected by the bits of alien materials/artifacts that we could access? That will be one running theme in this series, although there’s a darker secret behind some of it.

About the Author:
In my day job I’m a low-level manager in Corporate America. By night I make up stories I hope people like enough to buy. I’m driven by “what if” questions, and often those lead to story of book ideas. I’ve lived in a motorhome traveling the country, and oh, there are some stories I could tell. I was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and I’m happily living in Denver, CO now, with no intention of moving anywhere else. Writing has been a passion for most of my life. I’ve had to set it aside in the past, but so many circumstances have changed, and now I can focus on it more and more. Someday I’ll make my living doing this.
