She might be a killer… but she can’t remember.
Am I a killer? That is the question haunting 25-year-old Jane Jensen. When she wakes up in the hospital after a devastating auto accident, she finds that her memory since ninth grade of high school has been wiped clean. As she heals, she begins to recover a memory here, a memory there, and piece by piece, she tries to stitch everything together to restore the narrative of her identity. Jane is aware that she has gone from bullied, overweight schoolgirl to successful corporate wonk in the last several years. But when the wife of her teenage obsession gets killed in a professional hit, Jane makes yet another transition—to that of murder suspect. It’s a situation that would be untenable for anyone but it’s infinitely worse for Jane since she can’t defend herself from the awful accusation for one major reason: Jane truly has no idea if she’s innocent or guilty.
About the Author:
I’m a NYC native, born in Brooklyn and spending my formative years in Lower Manhattan After I married—it was an arranged marriage, by our dogs—we moved to various places around the country while having our sons along the way. We crammed all of life’s major events into a three-year joyride from East Coast to West. Ultimately we came back to NY and landed upstate where our flying machine broke and we’ve been stuck here ever since. I’ve been a writer forever, but for the last ten years fiction has been my thing. In my spare time I hike with my dogs and teach composition and literature to a captive audience—or as some call them, college freshmen. I’m happiest when I’m writing… and I’m most miserable when I’m writing. That’s why I’m a writer.
