Loving brought death. Remembering could kill.
Thirteen years ago, Nevaeh Taylor woke up on a beach, battered, torn, bleeding and pregnant with no memory of how she came to be there clawing harsh sand toward her family home or who the father could be. Her only clue, a faded picture of an unknown man clutched in a death grip in her bloody fist and a remembered whisper tearing her mind — remembering could kill.
Now the man in the picture, Cormac Keo’s in town but he’s the same man who killed her father as his father before him killed her brother. He’s launched a takeover bid on her family’s company behaving as if he’s the wronged one and she confronts him at the gallery exhibition of his art. There, his surprising nude paintings of her have her questioning if they have a past but her mother insists they don’t yet he knows her secrets. She haunts him determined even in the face of his bitter stonewall and her mothers ire to get her paintings into her possession, make him relinquish her family’s company and expose the past. Even as she is growingly addled and rent at the shadowy tempo of her breath at the crossing of their eyes.
Finally he makes an offer, marry him to get back her family’s company but she has her twins to think about and he simply cannot be the father. However remembering the past becomes life and death and he remains the only clue as she begins receiving threatening notes and bullets chase them around cities.
About the Author:
Bemy Wells is a published author of several books. Spinning tales from a young age, she began writing at the age of thirteen putting her stories to paper, then strangely setting them alight as if once giving the characters life, they would then find rest and their billowing smoke would rise to the skies at peace. These days their lives are extended in the many published books she churns. Drawn to fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, suspense and writing each, her go to has always been romance, which she enjoys bringing to life in her readers imagination. Writing to her is not an occupation but a true pleasing passing leisure.
